Timebeans offers role based security which means each employee will have a role and the actions they can perform is based on the role they are assigned to. These roles can be assigned from the team management page. You must be an administrator or a project manager to assign a role to an employee. Please click on the "Team" link a the top of the page and choose an employee whose role you want to change.
Below is a brief description of different roles Timebeans offers:
Administrators have full access to Timebeans functionality and they perform all administrative tasks like application settings, company details, locations, application customisation, status configurations etc. In addition they can also perform actions that other roles do.
Project managers perform the most active role in Timebeans timesheet. They have access to full application functionality except the administrative tasks which only administrators can perform. They can manage projects, add new team members, approve/reject time and expense sheets, bill invoices and have access to project finances and reporting.
Approvers have restricted functionality and can only approve or reject time and expense sheets. They have access to reports but no financial information is revealed. Project managers (and administrators) can also approve and reject time and expense sheets but approvers function as delegated role for time and expense approvals.
Users have least privileges in the application and they can only record their own time and expenses and can view reports of their own information.
